Bygd is a calm but tricky hex-tile builder. You start with a handful of grass, forest and water and a pile of tiles in your stash. Drag them into place, match the patterns for a few coins, and watch a quiet little island take shape, with wind in the trees, smoke from the chimneys and a sun you can turn from dawn to dusk.
Then it gets interesting. Villages are hungry. They need food, water and timber, and every farm, well, wood cutter and market only reaches so far, so where you put things matters. Feed a village well and it grows, from Village to Big Village, then Small Town and finally a walled Big Town with towers, flags and a clock that shows your own time.
Every step up unlocks something new: mountains to quarry, stone masons, mines and smithies, each one asking more of your layout than the last. Tiles are scarce and the next one costs more than the last, so every placement counts. Build something you are proud of, and see how high you can score before the tiles run out.
